Artist bio
Gin Taylor’s artworks present conceptual American conversations, joining representational imagery with abstraction, constructing assemblages from found items, paintings, and drawings. She is a multi-media artist working in New Orleans and Alexandria, Louisiana.
She has shown at the New Orleans Museum of Art, Contemporary Art Center, N.O., Alexandria Museum of Art, Alexandria, La., Louisiana State University (Alexandria), the Mobile Museum of Art, Bienville Gallery, N.O., and N.O. Artworks. In N.Y.C. Taylor's art was shown at Terry Dintenfass Gallery, the Times Square Art Show, P.S.1, Long Island City, June Kelly Gallery, EAT Gallery, and Bomb Magazine. She has shown at Big Top Gallery, N.O, Barrister’s Gallery and Antennae Gallery in the St. Claude Arts District, N.O., La.
Taylor holds a B.F.A. Newcomb Art/Tulane University; M.A. Fine Art (Multimedia)/Northwestern State University; post grad: School of Visual Arts, NY, NY; the Art Students League, NY, NY.
